Seit etwa 25 Jahren hat mich das Foto-Hobby gepackt ebenso wie die Leidenschaft für die Eisenbahn - speziell, wenn eine Dampflok vorgespannt ist. Dazu bin ich immer wieder in Deutschland, Europa und auch weltweit unterwegs. Beruflich war ich lange Jahre Geschäftsführer und Gründer von http://www.teltarif.de - DEM deutschen Magazin zu Telekommunikation und Internet. Aktuell mache ich Pause, um danach beruflich wieder mit frischen Kräften loszulegen.

25 years ago at the age of 16 I started enjoying shooting pictures, especially of (steam-hauled) trains. Therefore I travel a lot within Germany and Europe, but also to Northern America, Africa and Asia. For a long time I was CEO and founder of http://www.teltarif.de - the largest online magazine reporting on telecommunication and web topics in Germany. These days I'm on sabbatical to restart my businesses later on.

01 1066 Schimmelreiter Sylt : Die Aussicht, im Mai 2009 noch einmal eine Schnellzug-Dampflok der Reihe 012 auf dem Hindenburgdamm auf der Überfahrt nach Sylt erleben und fotografieren zu können, lockte mich in den hohen Norden. Doch nicht nur die Dampflok, sondern auch der Regelbetrieb wurde bei schönstem Frühlingswetter ausgiebig fotografiert. In May 2009 there was a steam special on the mainline from Hamburg to Westerland on the Sylt island. It was headed by the 4-6-2 engine 01 1066 (pacific) operated by the Ulmer Eisenbahnfreunde. Also regular diesel services were spotted.
